KIU Titans vs. Power – Lugogo Indoor Stadium, 8:00pm

Despite having a 9 points lead with just under four minutes to play in Game 1 of the National Basketball League Playoffs semifinals against Power, KIU Titans were never certain of victory given how poorly they played all night.

Hamza Nyambogo, KIU’s coach did not shy away from expressing his disappointment at how his side defended which affected the offense in the process.

“Our defense was not the best and because our defense was struggling our offense ended up being stagnated.”

“The only upside is we managed to get through despite a last minute scare but right now it’s about getting the win and working together to get the next one and I’m sure we will be more organised and ready.”

Nyambogo said the players lost some bit of concentration but insisted it’s the worst they have played in the series

“It’s more about concentration. We had turnovers from Chris, Norman, Agutu & Henry who should not be giving away the ball.”

“However, in games there are mistakes but that’s the worst we have played in these series. Expect a much better display in Game 2.”
