SC Villa Jogoo 2-2 Kansanga
A late equalizer from burly and industrious forward Alex ‘Benzema’ Kitata saved Sports Club Villa Jogoo from jaws of an eminent defeat to Kansanga F.C, a Kampala regional outfit.
This was during the two sides’ 2 all draw played on a slippery Nakivubo War memorial stadium play ground on Friday.
The match was the second on the day for the 16 time record champions, who had in the first warm up game edged Rwenzori group FUFA Big league side, Masavu 2-1 (Dennis Kamanzi and Olivier Boue scored for the Jogoos).
In the second game, Kansanga shocked the partisan home crowd that included club president Ben Immanuel Misagga when they took a quick 2-0 lead in the opening half an hour.
Kansanga was dominate in the midfield and clinical in attack as they squeezed two quick goals past goalie Samson Kirya.
Kitata headed home Godfrey Lwesibawa’s cross to pull a goal back as the first half climaxed.
The second half was a complete turn around – SC Villa with the bigger chunk of ball possession.
A cheeky Sunday, was the main tormentor in the flesh of Kansanga although indecisiveness at times cost his team dear.
Kitata tapped home the equalizer with two minutes left on the clock for the morale boosting point ahead of the club’s Asian trip on Saturday.
22 players will leave Entebbe International Airport at 2 p.m for Thailand.
