Under chilly windy conditions, Ugandan Joshua Cheptegei and Susan Kuijken Krumins, a Dutch won the seven hills run in Nijmegen, Netherlands on Sunday.
Cheptegei ran the 15 KM race in 42.07 minutes. In the women event, Krumins-Susan Kuijken used 49.30 minutes to win the same race.
Abrar Osman was second (43.04), followed by Hiskel Tewelde (43.06).
Chepetegi was slower unlike last year’s winner Abdi Nageeye who clocked 43.45.
Jip Vastenburg from Apeldoorn was second in the women in 50.42 behind Krumins as Kanade Furuya finished third with a timing of 52:08.
Krumins is the first Dutch to win in the women catergory since Carla Beurskens in 1990.
30,000 runners took part in the event that covered all the seven hills of Nijmegen City, covering Nijmegen, Berg en Dal, Holy Land Foundation and Groesbeek.
