Ahmed Amir scored the decisive penalty as Egyptian side Eastern Company beat Kenya Police 3-2 on penalties in the men’s final on Sunday at City Park Stadium, Nairobi to retain the title they won in 2015.

After a goalless draw in normal time, the sides went for shootouts with the local side going first.

Richard Birir and George Mutira scored for the Kenyan team but were let down by Calvins Kanu and Robert Masibo who fired wide.

Mahmoud Aboutaleb, Ibrahim and Amir on the other hand scored as the Egyptians retained their title.

Prior the final, the two sides had met in the pool stage with the Kenyans winning 2-1, however, couldn’t replicate the same performance.

In other games, Butali Sugar Warriors eased past Ghana Police in the positional play-offs to finish third, while Kada Queens beat Heartland 4-2 to end the tournament third.

Ugandan sides Weatherhead and Wananchi came eighth and ninth respectively.
