The two-wheel drive championship will initiate a new battle for points in the second round of National Rally Championship this weekend in Kabale.

All 2WD category crews remained pointless after the season opening event where they all failed to make it on the finishers list.

Over five crews have now lined up for the Kabale Rally 2WD category win including two Rwandan crews.

Kawowo Sports lists the crews set for the battle this weekend.

Ismeal Ortega/Joseph Lutalo(Toyota Runx): Like an other reigning champion, Otega will go out to assert his worth on 2WD.

Edwin Kalule/Micheal Kizito(Toyota Celica): That fact that he desires this year’s 2WD title, Kalule will go for nothing else but a category win to widen his chances.

Gilberto Balondemu/Stephen Bunya(Toyota FX): Only a win will console Balondemu’s season opening heartbreak. He finished the rally, but disqualified for not having trackers.

Sadat Negomba/Hamza Lwanga(Toyota Vitz): Negomba is yet to hit his maiden category win. One reason he will be up for the 2WD top position.

Timothy Gawaya/Zubeda(VW Golf): The fact that Gawaya has registered more DNFs than finishes, his hopes always extend to the next event. And his hopes resume with Kabale rally.

Yasin Mukasa/Lawrence (Levin): Mukasa just like others will be out to put name on the category winners.

The two Rwandan crews of Fabrice Yoto/Regis Remera and Eric Gawaya/Fabrice Semana both in Celicas.

The crews will automatically aim for a better position that will make their journey to Uganda worth.
