News circulating about the confirmed approval of the St Mary’s stadium, found at Kitende off the busy Kampala – Entebbe Highway was treated with profound excitement across the divide.

Loyal club fans, administrators, media personnel and the Football governing body, FUFA all recieved the news with a warm embrace.

In fact, FUFA confirmed the positive development via their official web portal, days after  CAF inspector Nicholas Musonye was sent to Uganda on Tuesday to come up with a final report which was based on before the CAF Club Licensing Committee came up with the approval.

CAF Club Licensing Manager in the Competitions Department Ahmed Harraz signed the document forwarded to FUFA and Vipers Sports Club.

Kindly be informed that CAF has approved the St Mary’s Stadium and you can now select it as a venue for your matches.

Vipers will now host their games at the facility following the approval.

The CAF Confederation match between South Africa’s Platium Stars and Vipers on 12th March 2017 will be hosted at the stadium.
