Sadolin Paints’ forward Fred Kyambadde was singled out for praise by his coach Peter Kirumira following his impressive display on Saturday in their 3-0 victory over Bright Stars at the Mandela National Stadium, Nambole.
Despite not appearing on the day’s score sheet, Kyambadde was in buoyant mood as he inspired his side to their first victory in 2017.
He set up Nasser Swafi Bassan for Sadolin’s first goal in the 23rd minute and was involved in the Painters’ second goal.
“He had an amazing game,” Kirumira told Kawowo Sports after the game.
“He played just behind the striker and didn’t disappoint. He executed his role perfectly. In defense, he was helping, he was dropping back to help at the back and was all over the place. He was very energetic and brilliant today.”
Victory was Sadolin’s first since beating Soana 2-1 at Kavumba Recreational ground back in November last year. It was their fourth of the campaign and only their first since the turn of the year.
