Kiboga Young head coach Felix Kawooya Ssekabuuza has warned Vipers Sports Club ahead of their Uganda Cup round of 16 duel at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

Kawooya, a CAF ‘C’ licenced coach mastered minded the biggest shock of the tournament so far when Kiboga Young, a Buganda Region side ejected SC Villa at the Round of 64 stage.

I do not have favours because this is my job. They (Vipers) should not take me lightly because I have a collection of players with the heart to play football.

I have 18 friends who will travel to Kitende for maximum points and qualification to the quarter finals.

Kawooya expects to line up a formidable starting eleven against the reigning cup holders.

Goalie Derrick Were, Emma Atendele, Isaac Kizza, Andrew Michan, Wilberforce  Ssenyonga, David Buwembo, Willy Kayijuka, Brian Oyuka, Moses Mweru, Brian Mugume and Isaac Otto are the players probable to start for the Buganda regional side.

Kiboga Young will become the first local side to play at St Mary’s Kitende stadium, two weeks after the official opening of the stadium when Vipers played host to Platinum Stars in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Missing Quartet:

Vipers will miss four of their starters – goalie Ismail Watenga, Milton Karisa, Moses Waiswa and captain Nico Wakiro Wadada.

Vipers’ Portuguese coach Jorge Miguel Da Costa will have a feel of local action when he takes on Kiboga.

He told the club official website that he respects the opponents;

No, I intend to win. I’ll pick players to win the  game.

Our aim is to get to the final and win but you  cannot think about the final until you’ve won this game and more at the subsequent stages.

We have  prepared ourselves well and the boys know exactly what is required of them.

He attested to the club website that he was impressed by the performance of youngster Frank ‘Zagga’ Tumwesigye who trained with the senior team under Miguel for the first time.

“Zaga is a very good player,he has really excited  me a lot  on his first day. I believe he has a place in this team and a bright future,” the coach said of the talented midfielder.
