Two struggling sides clash at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku on Friday as relegation threatened Lweza host Soana in the Uganda Premier League.
It is not a good time to be a Lweza fan. Having survived the drop last season by a whisker, the Kajansi side occupies one of the dreaded positions in the league as they find themselves seated 14th.
Their failure to register at least one win in 2017 has seen the side drop down to the relegation zone, with not more than ten games left to the end of the campaign.
Although only five points separate them from their Tuesday opponents, the side risks getting relegated.
Lweza are yet to win a league game since the turn of the year, and they drew 0-0 against Sadolin Paints in their last league engagement. They will be hoping to secure their first win of the year when Soana who are in the same boat travel.
Soana enter tomorrow’s game on the back of an inspiring one-all draw against title favourites KCCA on Tuesday, but like their Friday hosts, Alex Isabirye’s charges haven’t also won a game in 2017. They will be hoping for their first win tomorrow.
Soana sit seventh in the league with 27 points
