KIU 1-3 Makerere University
John Turyasingura, Abraham Tusubira and the usual suspect Joshua Lubwama scored to ensure Makerere grabs their first maximum points in the 2017 University Football league with a 3-1 victory away to KIU at Nsambya playground on Wednesday.
Turyasingura gave the Ivory Tower institution the lead on 42 minutes with a well-executed volley following Emmanuel Mwaka’s attempt that had kissed the cross bar.
Peter Tumusiime made amends for the home side two minutes later shortly before either sides had the mandatory half time break.
Tusubira restored lead two minutes into the second stanza of the game before Lubwama scored the third and last goal on the day on the 50th minute mark.
Having being held by Busitema at home last week, Makerere now has 4 points from 2 matches.
KIU and Busitema have one point apiece.
