It’s becoming a norm for Uganda Cranes to play at least one friendly match prior to crucial engagement.

And with the start of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers coming up in June, the Cranes will play a friendly match ahead of the qualifiers match against Cape Verde.

According to coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojević, the Cranes will face a top team on the continent.

The tactician tweeted:

In the 2019 Nations Cup qualifiers, Uganda was drawn in Group L alongside Cape Verde, Tanzania and Lesotho.

Uganda Cranes last international friendly was against Kenya which ended in a 1-1 draw, with Vipers’ Moses Waiswa cancelling Micheal Olunga’s opener at Kenyatta Stadium.
