Two sides fighting for their lives in the Uganda Premier League lock horns on Friday as Lweza host The Saints at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.

Lweza are in desperate need of a win having struggled badly in recent months. They remain one of the only two teams in the league yet to post a win in 2017, and tomorrow’s game could sink or save their season.

With six games left to the end of the season, the Kajansi side occupies the 15th position in the league with 22 points.

However, a win tomorrow will lift them above the red line if Police lose to Vipers and it would slightly increase their chances of surviving the drop.

Tomorrow’s match is a game they can’t afford to lose if they are to try to rescue their campaign.

Visitors The Saints are not safe from relegation either despite sitting five places above their opponents. Moses Basena’s charges rose up to eleventh thanks to their 2-1 victory over bottom side JMC last week, but are just two points off the red zone.

The win was their first since February when they beat Bul 2-0 at Bombo barracks, but while it lifted them to eleventh, only two points separate them from Kirinya-Jinja SSS seated 14th.

Four points separate The Saints from Lweza.
