Hassan ‘Dazo’ Wasswa is on the verge of leaving KCCA but not on a permanent deal.
The defender has spent the entire season on the sidelines after suffering an injury midway the 2014/15 campaign and only returned to training towards the end of last domestic season.
Reliable sources from the Lugogo based club indicate that the player will be sent on loan to a yet to be revealed club where he will play next season.
Wasswa was left out of the players registered in the secondary window for the CAF Confederation Cup with Coach Mike Hilary Mutebi preferring upcoming Peter ‘Machete’ Magambo for one of the three slots available.
“With the presence of Habib Kavuma, Timothy Awany and Paul Musamali, he won’t get enough playing time since he is just returning from injury,” revealed a source. “So the technical staff sees it as imperative to loan him out and that’s the plan for now.”
Dazo joined the Kasasiro from Express at the start of the 2014-15 campaign and formed a brilliant partnership with Awany at the heart of defence until he tore a ligament in the 1-0 win over SC Villa at Nakivubo stadium in the StarTimes Cup.
He returned to training towards the end of the season but has reportedly suffered a setback; the reason the coach wants him loaned.
Previously, KCCA holds the record for loaning the most players in the league but not many have returned to forge a career at the club.
