- KCCA (Uganda) Vs FUS Rabat (Morocco) – Phillip Omondi stadium, Lugogo
- [Total CAF Confederation Cup 2017]

Habib Kavuma is confident any of his replacement will do the job when KCCA face Morocco’s FUS Rabat in the penultimate game of Group A of the CAF Confederation Cup 2017.
The Kasasiro host the 2010 cup winners at Phillip Omondi stadium, Lugogo without Kavuma who is suspended after the red card in the 2-1 loss to Nigeria’s Rivers United in the previous game.
“Am just one player missing on that day,” he told the club’s website. “We have a strong team which should be able to finish the job on Sunday with a convincing result,” he added.
In his absence, Coach Mike Mutebi is likely to recall Paul Musamali to partner Timothy Awany at the heart of defence alongside skipper Denis Okot in a three-man backline.
The manager has so many options in defense, from the captain Okot (Denis), Timothy Awany, Paul Musamali, Denis Rukundo and Isaac Muleme; surely we have enough cover.
For KCCA to stand any chance of progression from the group that also has Tunisia’s Club Africain, they must beat the visitors on Sunday and then go for at least a point in their last game.
Kavuma believes the chances are still much alive but admits the boys must first win against FUS Rabat.
Our chances are very much alive, we just need to win our home game then go to Tunisia and force a result off Club Africain. Which is very possible by the way, so our chances of qualifying are still high.
It’s the second time in the campaign that the former Bunamwaya (now Vipers) and APR left back is serving a ban.
He also sat out the 1-0 win over Egypt’s Al Masry in the pre-group stage fixture at Lugogo.
