- KCCA Leopards 79-28 Lioness

Joy Chemati took charge of proceedings as KCCA Leopards recorded a routine victory against National Basketball League newcomers Lioness on Sunday.
KCCA were as expected in charge right from tip-off to the final buzzer. Halima Nabusimba took care of the opening quarter scoring 11 of the Leopard’s 17 points who limited Lioness to just 4 points in the first 10 minutes of the game.
Chemtai got started at the onset of the second quarter when she came on for Cynthia Irakunda. Cheche as she is commonly known scored 7 points in the frame and KCCA were in charge of the game 41-14 at the half and never looked back.
The 2015 Regular Season MVP scored half of KCCA’s 18 points in the third quarter, added 3 in the fourth quarter for game high 19 points and received significant back up from Larisa Katungeko (13 points) through out the game. Grace Wanjiku contributed 10 points for the former champions.
On the hand, no Lioness got to double figures with Robinah Nkabidwa and Sumin Nabatanzi scoring 6 points apiece.
