
Jorge Miguel Duarte Da Costa admits he is aware of all the transfer business at Vipers and says he is happy so far.
The Portuguese joined the two-time champions a couple of months to end last season and steered the club to third place finish but failed to defend the Uganda Cup.
“I am aware of everything,” a smiling Da Costa told Kawowo Sports. “But am not saying anything about the other targets although I know them,” he added.
Da Costa, who returned from Portugal on a pre-season holiday on Monday, also revealed the preparations for next season begin on Saturday.
We shall start with player orientation on Saturday but the drills will officially start on Monday next week.
The Venoms have shipped in left back Yayo Lutimba from URA following the expiry of his contract after spending last season on loan at Express FC, midfielder Taddeo Lwanga from SC Villa and centre forward Steven Mukwala from Edgars Youth Academy.
Club Dinner
Meanwhile, the club director Marketing and Sponsorship, Simon Ssekankya urged players to perform well next season assuring them that his team will do the rest.
He revealed this at the club dinner organised at Serena Lake Victoria Hotel, Kigo on Monday where Da Costa and most of the players were part.

“Our target is to be to the first in Africa,” he told the players. “Do your best on the field and leave the rest to us,” he added.
As marketing, we want to maximize events at the stadium. You can’t put up that big project and you can’t generate revenue. The investment in the stadium is there for all to see. If you perform, fans will come and it’s what sponsors want.
The club chairman, George William Mulindwa also called upon players to lift their performances as the club aims at improving all sections including branding.
We didn’t meet expectations last season but we want to give our supporters a very balanced menu. This time we want to get value for money for the fans.
We need results and better performances to do that on the side of branding.
Vipers completed last season trophy-less after failing to defend the Uganda Cup and finished third in the league behind champions KCCA and second placed SC Villa.
