- FUS Rabat (Morocco) 2-1 Rivers United (Nigeria)

Mohammed Fouzair scored a late penalty to guide FUS Rabat of Morocco to a 2-1 come from behind victory over Nigeria’s Rivers United to send KCCA out of the Total CAF Confederation Cup.
In a dramatic game in Rabat, the hosts were dominant from start to finish but fell behind in the 41st minute when Bolaji Sakini put the Nigerians in front from their only attempt in the first half.
The hosts created lots of chances in the half but were denied by Rivers United goalkeeper Asimiyu Akande, the wood work and poor finishing.
Like they started in the first half, they pressed early on after the break and their effort paid six minutes after the break when Youssef El Gnaoui put them level.
They however had to wait till the 88th minute for the winner and it came from the penalty after Austin Festus, the visitors’ skipper handled in the area.
Fouzair made no mistake as he sent the visiting custodian the wrong way with a panenka to send the partisan home crowd into frenzy.
They held on to grab victory and that coupled with KCCA humiliating 4-0 loss to Club Africain saw them book a place in the quarter finals as second in Group A behind the Tunisians.
With that comes $75000 and that implies the two sides are now $375,000 richer than their counterparts for booking quarter final berths.
