Uganda Cranes and Gor Mahia star Godfrey Walusimbi has been listed among the players that will start against Everton’s Wayne Rooney and company in Thursday’s Pre-season Friendly at the National Stadium, Dar es Salaam.
Walusimbi will feature alongside Boniface Oluoch, Musa Mohammed, Haron Shakava, Karim Niziyimana, Ernest Wendo, Kenneth Muguna, George Odhiambo, Meddie Kagere, Jacques Tuyisenge and Boniface Omondi for the first half.
Peter Odhiambo, Innocent Wafula, Mike Simiyu, Wellington Ochieng, Joachim Oluoch, Philemon Otieno, Francis Kahata, Jean Baptiste, Oliver Maloba, Jeconia Uyoga and Timothy Otieno will make appearances in the second half.
According to Gor Mahia FC coach Dylan Kerr, ” the plan is to give every player a chance, but it will depend with the game.”
Everton is the first Premier League club ever to visit the east Africa region and new signing Wayne Rooney is expected to start the match.
