With just hours to the highly anticipated clash between Rwanda and Uganda, Amavubi coach Antoine Hey has taken pressure off his charges by claiming the pressure is on the Cranes.

The German said this whilst at a press conference at the Regional stadium, Nyamirambo, the venue for the Saturday August 19 clash after his side’s last training session.

“We are ready for the game,” he told the press. “We are under no pressure going into the game,” he added.

“The pressure is with Uganda Cranes since everyone thinks they are already through.”

Hey, whose side lost 3-0 to the Uganda Cranes thanks to a double from Muzamiru Mutyaba and one from Derrick Nsibambi however has warned the visitors against expecting an easy ride in Kigali.

“This is a different game altogether,” he warned. “We are playing at home in front of our fans who will back the group of wonderfully talented players we have,” he added.

Hey included experienced centre forward Ernest Sugira in his squad but the former AS Vita man suffered a bad injury on Wednesday something the German said disrupted the preparations for his side.

“The horrific injury to Sugira kind of disorganized our sessions since he was expected to fill the void for suspended forward, Bernabe Mumbuyi.”

Rwanda drew their previous home round tie goalless with Tanzania at the same venue.
