Former Southampton and England midfielder Matt Le Tissier has heaped praise on Kenyan international, Victor Wanyama ahead of Spurs clash with Chelsea.

The two London sides face off at Wembley in the Premier League and Le Tissier, a pundit with Sky Sports was tasked to come up with a combined XI of the two sides.

Picking the holding midfielders for his side, the Southampton legend said he picks N’Golo Kante and Wanyama adding that the Kenyan is slightly better than new Manchester United signing, Nemanja Matic.

“I’ve gone with the two best holding midfielders in the Premier League in front of my back four,” he said.

Former Blue Nemanja Matic is obviously decent in that role but I think there’s more to N’Golo Kante and Victor Wanyama.

Tissier also left out ex-Arsenal and Barcelona midfield gem Cesc Fabregas out of his side and so is France international Moussa Dembele.

Cesc Fabregas is unlucky not to get in but he’d be my first substitute to come on and would be in there if I was playing a back three, while Moussa Dembele is quality but doesn’t quite have the defensive qualities of my picks.

Here is Chelsea-Spurs XI according to Le Tissier

Hugo Lloris (Spurs), Kieran Trippier (Spurs), Toby Alderweireld (Spurs), David Luiz (Chelsea), Marcos Alonso (Chelsea), N’Golo Kante (Chelsea), Victor Wanyama (Spurs), Eden Hazard (Chelsea), Dele Alli (Spurs), Christian Eriksen (Spurs) and Harry Kane (Spurs).
