The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced postponement of the inspection of Cameroon for the Total Africa Nations Cup.

The inspection of Cameroon’s readiness to host the 2019 Africa’s biggest soccer bonanza has attracted a lot of attention in the past and was due to start on August 20 to August 28, 2017.

In a statement on the Caf website, the reason for the postponement is based on the withdraw of audit firm, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).

Following the withdrawal of audit firm, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), today, 18 August 2017, the CAF inspection mission to the Total Africa Cup of Nations Cameroon 2019 has been postponed to a later date. The Cameroonian side has been notified accordingly.

CAF President has consistently echoed that Cameroon risks losing the hosting rights for the tournament after its expansion to 24 teams.
