Second tier side Vihiga United dumped George ‘Best’ Nsiimbe’s coached Tusker Football Club 2-0 out of the GoTV Shield Cup.
In the first of the double header played on Sunday, Vihiga dominated play for long spells of the game at at the Nyayo stadium.
Meanwhile, AFC Leopards brushed aside Wazito FC 7-1 in the other quarter final match.
Burundian striker Alexis Kitenge scored a hat-trick. Other scorers were defender Michael Kibwage, Marcelus Ingotsi, Azizi Okaka and Samuel Ndungu.
Pitson Mutamba got the consolation for Wazito, a club dominated by former University of Nairobi and current students.
Ugandan defender Ramadhan Yakub was an unused substitute in the game.
Leopards will now play Vihiga United in the semi-final.
