Jamal Salim Magoola put one over his compatriot Hamis ‘Diego’ Kiiza in the Sudan Premier League as El Merriekh edged Al Hilal Obeid.
In a five goal thriller, El Merriekh, home to Ugandan goalie Jamal Salim won 3-2 to move within three points of log leading rivals, Al Hilal Omdurman with a game in hand.
The loss, fourth of the season for Kiiza’s side leaves them stuck in 7th position on the 18 team log with 26 points, ten behind leaders Al Hilal Omdurman.
El Merriekh are now on 33 points after winning their 10th game of the campaign with a couple of games to end the first half of the season.
