Heavy rain in the Indian State of Andhara Pradesh has prevented play for 2 days in the ongoing Sir. Vizzy Memmorial Invitational Tournamnet.
The Ugandan pair of Roger Mukasa and Charles Waiswa are part of the Nairobi Provincial Cricket Association (NPCA XI ) that is taking part in the tournament.
They were due to play Baroda XI in a four-day game starting on Monday, 28th August but heavy rains have kept both teams indoors.
When we spoke to the Uganda’s left arm opening bowler Charles Waiswa he said;
There is a lot of rain of here and both days have been washed out. Hopefully tomorrow is clear and we get to play, we cant wait to get out there and do our thing.
Roger Mukasa and Charles Waiswa got this opportunity on the back of strong performances in the Nairobi League for their local side Stary Lions.
This opportunity should open doors for other local players and hopefully the two Tornado B team mates will make most of the chance.
