League debutants Mbarara City were relieved of some pressure on Saturday when they sealed what was their second win of the season, beating Police 2-1 at their home ground.
That victory came after a couple of defeats away from home. The Ankole Lions haven’t been good travellers and they make a long trip to Kavumba for a meet with Soana who haven’t lost at home this season
While Soana have struggled thus far, their three defeats have come away from home. Soana’s last home game ended with the side victorious against another league debutant Masavu.
They welcome Mbarara buoyed following their 1-1 draw at Vipers. Soana came from behind to force a draw in that game, with Baker Buyala scoring for the coach-less side.
Meanwhile for Mbarara City, they lost their last away game terribly, 3-0 to Proline. They have played thrice on the road and only once have they returned unharmed.
That was in their maiden appearance in the league against Bul at the start of the season.
They sit eighth in the league standings with eight points while their hosts are placed in one of the dreaded positions in the league.
The need to move away from the dreaded position will be a motivating factor for Soana.
