The Uganda national U-20 team, the Hippos started their preparations for the COSAFA U-20 tourney on Wednesday at Mandela National Stadium.
20 players turned up for the maiden session that lasted for close to hours under the coaches, Mathias Lule, Sadiq Wassa and James Odoch.
The session was for meant for acclimatization as well as the opportunity for taking official photographs.
Lule targets to progress for the final stages of the tournament as quoted by the federation website;
I am preparing the team for the best and looking forward to make the latter stages of the tournament.
I am also happy for the reunion of players from the U-17 team that I handled in 2014.
The project shows signs of continuity

The players returned to their respective clubs and will regroup on Monday, 27th November 2017 at Namboole stadium.
This will be an opportune moment for the foreign based legion to report on time.
Canadian based creative forward Azake Luboyera who features for Ottawa Fury Football Club as well as US based right back Andrew Okiring Isiagi are some of the those foreign based players expected.
Uganda is one of the two guest countries at the tournament slated for the 6th to 16th December 2017 in Zambia.
Egypt is the other invited team at the tournament.
Uganda Hippos will lock horns with traditional foes Zambia alongside Swaziland and Malawi in group A.
South Africa, Egypt, Mozambique and Mauritius are in Group B while Angola, Lesotho, Namibia and Zimbabwe complete Group C.
