Moses Basena has demanded efficiency from his team when they face South Sudan in their second game at the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup.

Uganda fired blanks against Burundi on match day one as they settled for a goalless draw and Basena is aware that a similar result will leave his side in tough times.

“We have to be efficient in front of goal,” said Basena. “Fortunately, we are not easy to break at the back but our problems have always been converting chances,” he added.

Against Burundi, the former SC Villa, URA and UPDF tactician went with an offensive setup including fielding four strikes at a time in the game but created no clear scoring opportunities.

The Cranes had just two attempts on target although they had a goal from defender Timothy Awany shockingly disallowed.
