- City Oilers 87-81 GSP

City Oilers will play for fifth place at the FIBA Africa Champions Cup following an 87-81 victory over Groupement Sportif des Pétroliers.
The Zone V champions lost to Union Sportive Monastir in the quarterfinals and settled for placement games, the first of which was against Pétroliers who also fell to Etoile Sportive Radès at the same hurdle.
Oilers lost the opening quarter 22-19 but went on to win the next three 17-14, 25-21 and 26-24 to earn the right to play for fifth place at the premier club competition on the continent.
The closely contested game had several lead changes but Jimmy Enabu’s 3-pointer with just over 7 minutes to play followed by a dunk from the guard pout Oilers on track for victory as Pétroliers never went in front again.
Jordin Mayes scored 19 points to pace Oilers, Lleon Tilman scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds while Stanley Ocitti, Landry Ndikumana and Robinson Opong contributed 12, 12 and 10 points respectively.
Faycal Belkhodja and Mohamed Harat (the only GSP players to reach double-figures) scored 24 and 23 points respectively for Pétroliers
For the fifth place, Oilers will take on Mozambique’s Ferroviario Beira who defeated Inter Clube.
