The new African rally championship season will commence in Ivory Coast with the Rallye Bandama this Friday.
The three day event will start with a super special stage before crews take on ten stages on Saturday and Sunday. The total distance of the rally is 231.25kilometres.
Rallye Bandama has this time attracted more crews. Over 30 competing crews including seven foreign crews from Kenya and France will participate.
The 2014 Africa rally champion Gary Chaynes will as well grace the home event.

“At the moment were not in for ARC title because we lack the budget. But incase the budge appears when can take it on.”
“But this weekend. We only want to win,” he said.
Only Pierro Cannobio and co-driver Silvia Fringo from Kenya will be pushing for ARC points.
With the new scoring system, the Kenyan crew will have to fight for the top spot position to take an early lead in the championship; crews will score according to the position they finish in the event.
Meanwhile, Soumaoro Morifere is the defending winner of the Rallye Bandama.
