Uganda U-20 national football team captain Julius Poloto has promised to command exceptionally and lead by example in the upcoming AFCON U-20 first leg qualifier at home with South Sudan.

Poloto, recently named the name team to take over from KCCA teammate Muhammed ‘Deldon Jaggarson’ Shaban who has since graduated to the U-23 team.

Ever calm and composed, Poloto, is a utility and diligent servant on and off the field of play. He boldly shared his views with eloquence;

I thank God for the gift of life and the talent he gave me and my teammates.

To be appointed captain for a national team is another blessing that comes with its own responsibilities. I will use my experience to help the team.

I will serve above self and ready for the tasks presented in my midst.

Poloto is a graduate from the famous Uganda U-17 team that was also handled by the current U-20 head coach, Mathias Lule.

We shall give our best for the country in the qualifiers against South Sudan.

Personally, my experience as i have been playing for KCCA for the past two seasons will be put to good use.

I will help the other young players because we are one family
