Footballer Steven Mukwala was born on 15th July 1999 in Kasese District, Western Uganda.

According to CAF B licensed coach, Arthur Kyesmira, one of his early coaches who handled him at the budding stage, he (Mukwala) wears the face of a winner in games.

Kyesmira, now in Germany for a high level coaching course, boldly describes the diligent teenager as;

He is disciplined on and off the pitch. Very fast, good on one on ones, can shoot with both feet, quality heading abilities. He’s a potential goal-scoring great, and he wears the face of a winner in games. He has the ability to develop into one of the best strikers in the country and in the region of East Africa. He is a coach’s delight

Blessed with an array of calories, Mukwala is a sworn workaholic whose expertise of operating off the shoulder of the defenders works magic.

Mukwala is pretty optimistic that he is destined for a bright future;

I am always focused and determined with the hope that I am a better player tomorrow than today.

Mukwala is part of the Uganda U-20 team (Hippos) and already impressed with the goals at COSAFA U-20 invitational tourney as well as one during the CAF U-20 qualifier with minnows South Sudan.

He eyes more and more goals;

As a striker, I am judged by goals. I want to keep scoring and working for the team as well both with my club and the national team

He was born to Petine Maseruka (now deceased) and Madine Nakanwagi, the mother who raised him almost single handedly.
