Busoga Masaza Football Tournament:

  • Finals: 29th October 2016 – Bukooli North Vs Bunha
  • At Kyabazinga Stadium, Bugembe – Jinja District (4 p.m)

The first ever Busoga Masaza football tournament climaxes on Saturday at the Kyabazinga stadium in Bugembe town, Jinja.

Bukooli North takes on Bunha in the highly anticipated final match that will be graced by His Majesty, the Kyabazinga of Busoga William WIlberforce Nadiope IV and a very passionate large gathering.

According to the Kingdom Minister of Sports, Amin Bbosa Nkono, a detailed programme for the day has been released to ensure tranquil arrangement;

Guests and fans are encouraged to come in early and avoid the last minute rash.

The Kyabazinga Stadium gates will open by 10 a.m with a third place play off match at noon before the finals at 4 p.m. His Majesty the Kyabazinga of Busoga William Wilberforce Nadiope IV is the chief guest

Shaban Farouk of Butembe leads the goal scorers with four goals.

Bunha’s Cosma Waiswa still has a chance to increase on his three goal’s tally in the final.

City Tyres boosted the event with balls and trophies.

The local football federation too, offered a total of 40 balls with a pledge to support the tournament.

The tournament had been played for the past two months with preliminary round matches, quarter-finals and semi-final knock out games.
