The 10-time record champions have completed the signing of Canadian star Chad Bowie and Central African talent Kurt-Curry Axel Wegscheider.
Bowie, the son of former Orlando Magic shooting guard Anthony Lee Bowie, was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 2023/2024 Rwandan regular season.
Playing for Kepler Basketball Club, he had an impressive campaign, finishing as the league’s top scorer with 410 points.
He also recorded 62 steals and ranked third in three-point shooting, scoring 54 points from beyond the arc.
Before joining Kepler, Bowie played in both the United States and Canada. He studied kinesiology before embarking on a professional basketball career.
Meanwhile, Wegscheider, a versatile small forward, is no stranger to the City Oilers setup.
He previously featured for Bangui SC in the 2024 Basketball Africa League (BAL), where he faced the Oilers.
Both Bowie and Wegscheider are switching from Rwandan side Kepler Basketball Club, which is coached by former City Oilers head coach Mandy Juruni.
City Oilers currently sit ninth on the league table with 21 points, having won seven and lost seven of their 14 games so far this season.
