Emojong Draws Sixth Round Game
FM Elijah Emojong drew his sixth round game with the Black pieces against India’s Vaibhav Bhat rated 1923 in the Mumbai Mayor’s International Chess Championship.
The draw put Emojong at 3.5 points out of a possible 6 in the 11 round event that is ongoing in India.

Uganda’s FM Elijah Emojong fell at the hands of India’s Puranik Abhimanyu (rated 1918) in the seventh round but recovered to beat Godbole Atharva also from India in the eighth round played on Wednesday 21st September 2011 in the Mumbai Mayors International Chess Tournament.
Emojong now has 4.5 points out of a possible 8. Leading the tournament after 8 rounds is Bulgaria’s Grandmaster Aleksandrov Aleksej at 7 points out of 8 followed by Ukraine’s GM Kravtsiv Martyn (rated 2583) at 6.5 points.
The event ends with the 11th round on 24th September 2011.
