The Corporate league returned back to action on Sunday at Makerere University Business School’s sports ground with football, netball and volleyball on the menu. Football was charactised with several walk-overs much to the dismay of the teams that won points without kicking a ball.
Royal Van Zanten was 2-0 winner over Graphic systems without kicking a ball. Roofings also benefitted from a similar feat with their opponents Uganda Red Cross dodging their encounter.
Standard Charted Bank was a 2-0 winner over National Water and Sewage Corporation by also a walk over. Other results for the day Infocom beat Uganda Electricity and Transport Corporation while Uganda Breweries Limited settled for a scoreless draw with Civicon. Tullow Oil and Balton drew 1-1, Fiduga drew with New Vision by a similar scoreline.
AAR beat Airtel 2-0 through a walk over. This year’s season is the ninth season for the league and every season grows with more corporates getting on board.
