Home based player Joseph Bogera, took advantage of his home course to claim the JBG golf tournament at Entebbe golf club on Sunday.
The Handicap 15 player beat a strong field of 101 golfers from Jinja, Kampala, Entebbe, Fort Portal and Mbarara returning with a score of 74 stableford points thus also winning himself a Blue bag and Red Trolley for his feat.
Joseph Mawejje playing off handicap six claimed group A with 73 points while Joseph Niwamanya was group B winner with the same number of points.
Group C was won by Paul Niwayala with 66 points while the overall winner in the ladies section was Jamila Amisi with 72 points on count back. Eva Magala was group A winner with 68 points while Maureen Okura was winner of Group B with 72 points.
Vincent Byamukama, beat a field of 18 professionals which included players from Kenya and Rwanda. Byamukama ended his round with a birdie on the 18 hole to finish with a gross score of 139 and claim the 2.1million.
