URA moves top of league

Tax collectors URA FC moved top of the Bell Lager Super League this evening after pipping Masaka LC 1-0 at Lugazi.

Former international Augustine Nsumba, struck nine minutes into the second half to take the league champions atop and give them a two point lead ahead of Express FC with ten points out of four games.

Express who have played one

game less return against Firemasters. In other games played today taxi operators Ten man Utoda FC picked their first point when they held ten man Police FC to a goalless draw at Mutesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku. Police’s Sula Lwanga and Utoda’s Issac Imamu, where sent off by referee Ali Kaddu, for fighting on the pitch in a dual battle.

Army side Simba FC shot down Proline FC at Bombo Barracks 1-0 with Robert Omunuk striking in the 37th minute to give the soldiers a precious win and push them to the fourth position with seven points.

Victors FC and Maroons FC settled for a goalless draw at Kakindu stadium in Jinja. The league returns on Friday with five games on the card.
