National Chess League leaders, Mulago Kings Chess Club will this Sunday 16th October 2011 be in for a serious test against third placed Uganda Chess Academy in the 13th round at Hotel Africana. Mulago KIngs are enjoying a 3.5 point lead ahaed of City Chess Club.

On other boards, second placed title contenders, City Chess Club will be in for a less challenging task against Enkabi Chess Club and could use the opportunity to close in on the leaders. City’s major chalenge will be on board one where Enkabi’s FM Elijah Emojong will be expected to feature against City’s National Junior Champion, Haruna Nsubuga who is fresh from the Mombasa Open where he finished third. Emojong returned from India yesterday after participating in two back to back international tournaments.
In other 13th round games, Aviation takes on Barclays Bank Chess Club as Mulago Knights takes on Makindye Chess Club. Bank of Uganda plays Mulago Pawns and Mulago Queens take on UCU Knights while Mengo play Kireka Chess Club.
