All Africa games netball gold medallists She Cranes received their Nile Special Uganda Sports Press Association monthly award for September with pomp and glittery at Oasis restaurant, Lugogo last evening.
It was the first of its kind award where the new sponsors Nile Breweries hosted the monthly award winners to dinner gala that was attended by sports scribes from various media houses,the sponsors and few members of National Council of Sports.
She Cranes defeated eight African sides including hosts Mozambique, traditional rivals Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Kenya, South Africa, Ghana and Botswana on a round robin basis. They also have qualified for the 2012 London Olympics.
