
All Africa Badminton silver medalist Edwin Ekiring has jumped to number one in the latest Confederation of African Badminton Rankings that where released this week.
Ekiring is the continent’s number one and has jumped seven places in the world rankings to place him at 116 in the world and has bagged 12434.9195 points in total.
“I am happy with my progress to
the top and I am looking forward to shooting beyond my position,” Ekiring told Kawowo sports. “I bagged valuable points in the semi-finals in Addis Ababa, during the Ethiopia international.”
Ekiring has in the two weeks been battling on the professional tour to improve his ranking he recently played in the Dutch International and the Ethiopia International.
