“The USL and Super Sport will be touring the Prisons ground soon to ascertain whether it can host live games,” James Sekandi, USL spokesman told Kawowo sports. “There is been an outcry from the fans about the games being cancelled at Mutesa II stadium, in Wankulukuku and after seeing the costs incurred in rescheduling matches we have to seek other alternatives.”

The Bell Lager Super League has had two games at Wankulukuku rescheduled due to water logged pitch at the venue that has cost the Super Sport lots of money. The pay-per view television has lost close to 690 million.

  • For 7 million Mandela Stadium hosts a double-header with the second game played under floodlights. A single match costs sh4m. According to Sekandi, USL hires Wankulukuku stadium at just sh2m.
