Uganda Open golf champion Rogers Byaruhanga continued his good form on the local golf scene when he claimed the MTN October monthly mug at the Kitante par 72 golf course at Uganda Golf Club last evening.
The Uganda Open winner shot 75 gross to beat a strong field of around 120 golfers to claim the monthly mug of October and increase his haul in his trophy cabinet.
“It’s nothing big here I have just returned from South Africa so I am still on form am glad that I have beaten the strong field and am looking forward to other local events left on the calendar,” Byaruhanga said. “I am not sure whether I will be participating in the Rwanda Open next month.”
Anthony Okullo was group A winner with 74 nett while Lim Lim was group B winner with 71 on count back. Kenneth Bateyo was winner with 77 nett in group C.
UPDF’s Flavia Namakula continued her form by claiming the women’s group A title with a score of 69 nett while Grace Kabonero was winner group B with 77 nett.
