Newly crowned national rally champion Susan “Super Lady” Muwonge, has been voted the sports personality for the month of October by members of Uganda Sports Press Association at their monthly meeting held this morning at Oasis restaurant, Lugogo.
The rally ace was the overwhelming favorite going into today’s monthly meeting, after she became the first woman driver to claim the national rally
championship after winning the independence rally and beating her closest rival to the national championship Ponsiano Lwakataka however Muwonge was challenged for the award by the new national kick boxing light heavyweight champion Titus “The Rock” Tugume. Muwonge polled 475 votes against Tugume’s 365 votes to take the Nile Special USPA monthly award for October.
The scribes also commended Masaka LC for its impressive run in the Uganda Super League and Cricketer Charles Waiswa, for his clinical display for Rwenzori warriors where he picked 8 wickets as they played in East Africa Premier League Twenty20 tournament.
