Top seed and defending champion Michael Kawooya will be given an acid test today in the Castle Lite Squash Open when he takes on seed five Samuel Kyagulanyi in a group A game in the elite group at Kampala club.
The two rivals have met on several occassions and have had interesting battles at the glassback court at Kampala club with Kawooya coming on top on several occassions.
It’s one of the major high lights for today’s action at the tournament that is sponsored by Nile Breweries under their brand Castle Lite.
Yesterday seeds in group B had impressive results with the top seed Musa Matovu demolishing Jesse Enamu 9-2,9-0,9-0 while seed two Robins Muhairwe beat Ronnie Kasarenge 6-9,6-9,9-4,9-2,9-4. Seed three J.B Tamwesigire beat Kifle Degafu 9-4,9-3,9-1.
The women will get into action tomorrow with defending champion Kate Kabenge, eyeing to retain her crown.
