
Stanbic Bank made the biggest entry today amongst the corporate companies in this year’s MTN Kampala Marathon slated for November 27 at Kololo airstrip.
The leading bank has enter ten teams with a total of 718 runners who will be doing the 10 kilometer race at the same time they gave MTN Uganda a cheque of 9.8 million for the event the funds will go into giving the communities of Amuria district safe water and
good sanitation.
“It’s our noble obligation to give back to society and what ever kind of money it is whether alot or little, but it goes in a long way in helping the community in Amuria district to get safe water and good sanitation,” Sam Ntulume, the bank’s financial controller said at the MTN Arena,Lugogo today. “This is year we have entered ten teams in the corporate race and we hope to win it this time around.”
This year’s event is the ninth edition and has attracted several corporate companies in the corporate race.
This year’s winner will bag 16 million shillings in the 42 kilometer race which is a big increment than last year where the winner took back 8 million shillings.
