Magic stormers where put into a firing line by the UCU Lady Canons as they where gunned down 75-35 in game one of best of five series.
There was no magic for stormers as UCU dominated from first to the final quarters. The game was characterised by erratic shooting. Purity Odhiambo, was unstoppable as she sunk a game high 21 points to lead her side to victory while Loraine Akinyi topped up with 18 points.
Rukia Meeme, of the losing side
scored 10 points for the losers which was not enough to turn the tables in this one-sided play-off game.
The momentum of the players will hopefully pick up as the series continue. Going into this game
UCU lady canons were the clear favorites and are expected to sweep the series. They will square off with KCC Leopards or KIU Rangers in the finals next month.
