Bobby Williamson chooses strong squad for Cecafa

National soccer coach Bobby Williamson has opted for a strong squad ahead of the Cecafa senior challenge Cup due in Dar es Salaam,Tanzania.

The Scotsman has choosen Abel Dhaira, Robert Odongkara and Ali Kimera, as his goalkeepers. In defense he has gone for Simeon Masaba, Godfrey Walusimbi, Habib Kavuma, Isaac Isinde, Andy Mwesigwa and Henry Kalungi.

Uganda will be seeking to claim the Cecafa soccer championship for a record 12 time.

Other players selected include Mike Mutyaba, Sula Matovu, Moses Oloya, Vincent Kayizzi, Dan Wagaluka, Tony Mawejje, Musa Mudde, Patrick Ochan, the strikers are Brian Umony, Emma Okwi, Mike Sserumaga and Robert Ssentongo.

Williamson is building a squad after Uganda’s failure to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations in the recent qualifiers. The Cranes will start training tomorrow morning at Mandela stadium.
