Hungarian kick-boxer Andras Nagy arrives ahead of world title fight

Hungarian kick-boxer Andras Nagy arrives in the country tomorrow morning at 3.am East African time ahead of his much anticpated world title show down with Africa’s super middleweight champion Moses Golola this Friday at Hotel Africana.

The two fighters will be battling for the vacant WKF intercontinental super middleweight title at the People’s Space here in Kampala.

“Nagy is arriving early for the fight so that he can acclimatise ahead of the clash,” Patrick Kanyomozi, the promoter of the fight said recently. “It is a significant fight for both fighters and it received alot of publicity globally and we hope to organise a class fight here in Kampala.”

It  will be the Ugandan fighter’s first major fight that will lead him to greater fights in his career. The fight is being promoted by leading journalist Kanyomozi under his company Kweli Productions.

The fight is sanctioned by the Uganda Kick-Boxing Federation and will have a supervisor from World Kick-Boxing Federation,who will be president of the world body Fritz Exenberg along side Europe director Istvan Roman, who will jet in together with Nagy.

he main event will also feature six support fights with Kenya’s Kevin Owiyo taking on Kanda Kabonga from DR Congo it will also feature Sudanese fighters Michael Getbar from Southern Sudan taking on Abdul Nasser from Uganda in 70 kilograms while James Koul from Southern Sudan takes on Shakur Bwete of Uganda in 80 kilograms then John Ssebuyinza from Uganda battles Johnson Mugashya from Tanzania in 75 kilograms.
