Power claws back in MTN FUBA men's finals

D-Mark Power re-energized the MTN FUBA men’s finals by winning game three with a 85-55 victory over Kyambogo Warriors last night at YMCA courts in Wandegeya.

The reigning champions looked fresh and determined from the opening quarter and ended up by claiming it 21-16, but on the night Ben Komakech led his fired up team-mates by ending the game with a high 19 points and Joseph Ikong followed up with 16 points in a game that brought the series back into light now with Warriors lead being cut to 2-1 in the best of seven series.

“We could have done better, but today our defense was not good enough as this was a running game that we failed to control,” Mandy Juruni, Warriors coach lamented. “I can assure you we shall do better in the next game come Saturday.”

Emmanuel Enabu, scored 14 points while his older sibling Ivan scored 13 points for Warriors on a night which didn’t go right for them.

In the women’s final UCU Lady Canons are just one win away from claiming the season after they beat KCC Leopards 45-39 in game three to make it 3-0 in the best of seven series.
