Mike Mutebi starts reign at Villa with goalless draw

Fire Masters shocked joint leaders Masaka LC 2-0 in their own backyard in the Bell Lager Uganda Super League this afternoon at Masaka Recreational ground.

An own goal by Livingstone Lugemwa in the 28th minute set the ball rolling for a shocker while Charles Asiki scored in the 87 minute to give the second from bottom side their third win of the season.

In the other games of the day Mike Mutebi started his reign at SC Villa with a dull goalless draw against Jinja based Bidco FC in a game where Simon Sserunkuma, fluffed a penalty. “We have alot of work to do and we need to work on the confidence of the team,” Mutebi said after the game. “Players can miss penalties, but we have to work hard. I can say Roma was not built in one day and we have to start some where.”
